But the story was Damien was an Inevitable the enemies of the Idols, the family of Brooke. Damien changed his ways for her, but his family wouldn't allow it. The Idols took him under their wing and decided to do the same for other students. Thus, the Academy of Idols.

Their was a war against the two. The Unknown War, in the end Damien stood up against his own kind, just as he was about to die, Brianna came to his assistance and tried to save him. And now David and Brooke can feel that connection, a strong urge for each other. However, a curse was placed just before Damien's death, since he promised Brianna that they would be together someday. The Inevitables warned them that if it were to happen again they would wager on with the war, this time involving humanity.

In order to prevent such tragedy, Ryan Seacrest, current leader of the Idols ordered Michael Johns to hunt down and possibly eliminate Brooke but being lazy about it, Michael passed on the job to David Cook unaware of the chaos it would bring.

On the other hand, Michael and Carly are obviously flirting with each other but always seem to think that the other one is too immature for a relationship. Ramiele is head over heels for Jason but would rather read a book than delve into his inner thoughts as for Jason it's all about the one-night stands.
